Our café is more than just a place to enjoy a coffee and a cake. As well as a welcoming space open to the public, it’s a supportive real world training environment where disabled adults can build skills, confidence, and independence. Through hands-on experience in catering and hospitality, individuals have the opportunity to develop both practical and personal skills that can open doors to future employment and strengthen skills that support everyday life.

We have created an inclusive, accessible environment where everyone can learn and progress at their own pace, gaining a sense of pride and achievement along the way. By encouraging teamwork, responsibility, and social interaction, we help individuals grow in confidence and move closer to living their lives to the full

Trainee’s

Our café is shaped by the people who train within it. From preparing food and serving customers to taking orders and delivering them to tables, trainees play an active role in the day-to-day running of the space. They are also encouraged to contribute ideas; whether that’s helping to design the menu, suggest promotions, or explore new ways the café can grow.

We provide a supportive, real-world working environment where individuals can build practical experience alongside valuable life skills. Everyone is encouraged to progress in a way that suits them, developing confidence, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. Being part of the café helps foster independence and pride, while strengthening social skills that support future employment and everyday life.

Facilities

The café is fully accessible at ground level, with a range of inclusive facilities, including three Changing Places toilets to support visitors with additional needs.

Our café offers indoor and outdoor seating, including a children’s play area, perfect for families and groups. We’re a welcoming spot for parent meet-ups, walking groups, and community gatherings.
