Volunteer Development Officer

This role is pivotal to focus on developing our in-house volunteering programme, with the sole purpose of working with our members (service users) to develop their confidence and skills to become volunteers at Paul’s Place. A long-term outcome would be for those members to feel confident enough to volunteer within the local community. To make this opportunity a reality we need to be able to develop volunteering opportunities for our members. The Development Officer will work with our members to upskill them to be able to become volunteers initially at Paul’s Place and then later, the wider community.

Salary: £26,400

Hours: 37 hours per week (Full Time)

Based: Office –  Paul’s Place Head Quarters, South Glos

We are the only one of our kind in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, making us a vital, unique, and exciting hub for physically disabled adults. Our support workers have one goal – to make sure each persons’ aspirations, interests and needs are at the centre of their time at Paul’s Place. It varies from person to person but it’s always about building trust, creating opportunities, and encouraging what’s possible. Volunteer Role – Local Collection Tin Coordinator

Hours: Fully Flexible depending on you, could be 1 hour a month, could be more!

Location: Remote, within your local Area. (This Boundary will be discussed)

We are looking for Volunteers to coordinate our Fundraising Collection Tins in their local area.

This role involves approaching your local shops/restaurants/pubs etc and asking them to host a Collection Tin on behalf of Paul’s Place. Once they agree, you will build a relationship with the premises and return to collect the tin when it is full and replace it with a newly sealed one along with a Thank you postcard. You will then drop off the full tins to us for counting.

Collection Tin fundraising is a vital source of income for Paul’s Place and this role really will be making a huge difference to the physically disabled adults we support.

The role is fully flexible depending on the time you’d like to give, you could manage one shop or you could manage the whole of your town, it’s completely up to you! So if you are friendly, approachable, honest and trustworthy, we would love to hear from you!  It is preferable for you to hold a full driving licence and have use of a vehicle.

This is a remote-based volunteer role, where you can claim expenses for the mileage you have used. We will issue you with an expense form to complete when you deliver the collection tins.

We supply a free enhanced DBS check and training to all our volunteers.
