It’s time we take a look at what fundraising events happened this year.

First up, it’s…

Galentine’s night

Our first fundraiser of the year was an in aid of event organised by Mikhaela and Leanne with their Galentine’s Night. This was a valentines night for the Gal’s! Her and the team managed to raise over ยฃ500๐ŸŽ‰

๐ŸŽ‰ WHAT A NIGHT! ๐ŸŽ‰

We had to wait two years thanks to the pandemic but it finally happened! All we can say is that it was worth the wait!
Thanks to everyone involved, our grand ball on the 26th March 2022 was a resounding success!

The final amount raised was over ยฃ11,000! ๐ŸŽ‰

First, we want to recognise ex-Fundraising Manager Clair Armstrong, who together with the staff and volunteers, especially Daniel, Michelle, Alex and Ashleigh, brought this event to life after having to wait for two years.

Second, Village Hotel Club provided us with fantastic facilities and a beautiful venue. Brooke and her team were an absolute dream to work with.
What is a ball without a brilliant host and fabulous speakers? Paris Troy was the best host and auctioneer we could ask for, thank you Paris! He will be back in 2023 to compere again!

The laughs didn’t stop there. Our celebrity guest Lee Ridley, a.k.a. Lost Voice Guy performed an unforgettable set during the night. For 2023, we have another brilliant disabled comedian. This time, Joshua Robertson is bringing the laughs on the night.

Briony May also had our audience laughing and thinking differently with her speech on the night. She reminded everyone why we created the grand ball to raise funds for our vital work, and left us with the sweetest quote about overcoming this storm that is the pandemic.
A special thank you also goes to Utility MOT for sponsoring the event and helping to bring the total raised higher. Also, our photographer Paola Broeders for capturing the event and volunteering her time on the night. The band Goodnight Lois closed the evening with a fantastic set too, so thank you Dan, Jordan, Kyle, Luke and Ben.
Finally, it is our guest and their deep pockets and unwavering support that made this night the resounding success it was.
